Limited Quantity July 2025 Release

Our Hurricane Creek Field Lab Cologne is inspired by misty early morning hikes through Oregon’s Wallowa Mountains. The scent of wet conifers, rich earth, and prickly pine sap lingers on everything—clothes, skin, and memory. It’s a mesmerizing mix of a heavy, drowsy citrus that doesn’t seem possible until you sniff it.

No synthetic ingredients here. Just steam distilled essential oils from local plants, blended in a base of organic sugar cane alcohol. Wears easy and won’t overstay its welcome.

Size: 1 Fl. Oz (40 mL)

Nice… but not Big Sur.

"Hurricane Ridge is a nice, outdoor fragrance, but the pine scent is all that lingers. Big Sur field trial and essence was far more nuanced and interesting- to me. My favorite of all time was Snow to Sand. You guys nailed it with that one. Wish you would resurrect both Snow to Sand and Big Sur."

Great Field Lab but Why No Bottle Cap?

"I love this scent! I use it at my pulse points, lower back and over my deodorant for an aromatic coverage boost. Unfortunately, I took off a star for the dispenser design. I can't travel with it since this bottle has no cover."

— Anena O. (4/5)

The Ideal Nature Scent

"I can't stop wearing this fragrance. I want it on all the time, because it takes me right to the places I want to go. Both the cologne and the body wash are the perfect strength, although I notice the cologne fades fairly quickly, as do all of Juniper Ridge's colognes. Not sure how they can make them more long lasting while still maintaining the purity of the ingredients."

— Sharon D. (5/5)

Nice

"I can’t make up my mind if it’s pine with a hint of cedar, or cedar with a hint of pine. Too bad you can’t distill the scent of an alpine glacier at dawn or the smell of pine needles decaying in the sun. Those always bring back fond memories of my childhood."

Hurricane Creek Cologne

"I have been purchasing Juniper Ridge Field Lab colognes for over 10 years and strongly believe in their mission. I believe that I have purchased all of their Field Lab colognes offered during this time. Unfortunately, I have been increasingly unsatisfied with the offerings over the last couple of years. In my opinion, they are over-extracted and frankly, all smell the virtually the same. I know that climate considerations have affected the production of one of my faves, the Topanga Canyon Field Lab, but I have missed it these past few years as it had a different profile. Another favorite from a couple of years ago was a Field Lab Big Sur. In general, I want to continue to support JR but have been feeling that the offerings have become stagnant. It feels a little 'same old, same old'. Looking forward to a little innovation to re-inspire the mission!"

The Perfect Nature Scent

"I love this scent because it takes me just where I want to go - all those very special places and times shared within Nature's embrace."

— Sharon D. (5/5)

Not as described

"Smells okay but not my jam at all."

— Wesley R. (2/5)

Subtle and Grounding

"I love Juniper Ridge candles. They make great gifts, not too giant nor too small, just the right size, and the fragrances are really special because they smell so natural and good. Because of this I think the scents are subtle and grounding for anyone to use. I will be back for more!"

— Nancy R. (5/5)

Loved the smell.

"I bought this candle to transport me to being outside in nature. It didn’t disappoint. It smelled lovely."

— Chandra H. (5/5)
