Spring Cleaning: Embracing The Spirit Of The Season

While dusting and decluttering are essential components to the process, spring cleaning is more than just tidying up your physical space. The concept of “spring cleaning” can also extend to other areas of your life, promoting a sense of renewal and positive change. It's an opportunity to refresh and rejuvenate not only your home but also your mind, body, and spirit.

Easy Recipes For Spring

Spring cleaning is more than just a seasonal chore; it's an opportunity to renew your living space and your well-being. Here are two quick and easy diys to introduce healthy, natural options into your new Spring routine.

What You'll Need:
  • 1 Yerba Santa tea bag
  • Boiling water

  • 2-3 teaspoons Lemon Juice (adjust to taste)
  • 1/4 teaspoon Ground Cinnamon OR 1/2-inch Piece Cinnamon Stick
How To Make It:
  1. Simmer the Yerba Santa tea bag (and cinnamon stick, if using) in boiling water until desired strength*.
  2. Remove the tea bag and cinnamon stick.
  3. Stir in honey and lemon juice.
  4. Enjoy warm, or serve chilled over ice. Garnish with a slice of lemon if you're feeling fancy.

*We love the taste of cinnamon so we simmer our cinnamon sticks for about 10-15 minutes, then turn off the heat, add the tea bag, and cover to steep for an additional 3-5 minutes.

Mix up a safe and effective cleaning solution for your home using things you already have:

  • 1/2 cup White Vinegar
  • 10 drops Pure Essential Oil (Cascade Forest is our preferred scent)
How To Make It:
  1. Combine all ingredients in the spray bottle.
  2. Shake well to mix.
  3. Done! Use on most* surfaces.

*Vinegar can react with and damage stone surfaces so we recommend avoiding surfaces like marble counter tops.
