A: Yes, castile soap is 100% plant-based with no added synthetic ingredients, so it bio-degrades completely.

While our products are completely biodegradable and safe to use outdoors, you shouldn't put them directly into the water. When outdoors, use any soap at least 30 meters (100 feet) away from the main water body. When bathing outdoors, dispose of your soap suds and bath water into a 6-inch-deep hole so that the organisms in the soil can quickly biodegrade it and prevent contamination of drinking water sources.

Q: How concentrated is the body wash, and can I add water to dilute it?

A: A little bit goes a long way because our Body Wash is pure castile soap; no additional water is added.
