The Story

We harvest the Douglas Fir Spring Tip tea from the mountains of the Pacific Northwest. It’s a stream-side hike in a cup, roofed by clean and crisp evergreen and dappled forest sun.

Scent Notes

Top notes of bright citrus, herbal mid-tones, earthy base accents.

100% sustainably wild harvested Douglas Fir (Pseudotsuga menziesii) needle tips. 20 unbleached bags per tin.

1113-2: Siskiyou Harvest

“The combination of sweet pollen is totally capturable. We’ve got this.”

When my first herbal-medicine teacher had us try Douglas Fir tea on a camping trip, I thought it would taste, well, like a tree. I was pleasantly surprised, however, by its refreshing, lemony flavor and sweet, forest-like aroma.

Douglas Fir Spring Tip Tea is simply the green chutes that come out of the douglas fir tree each spring. These chutes are full of citric acid, the same compound that gives grapefruit its smell.

Steep it for just a few minutes to release the citrus flavor, and don’t worry about it tasting like tree, whatever you might imagine that would taste like. This stuff is bright and delicious. Put some honey in there to sweeten it up.
